Personal Essay Workshop with Joshua James Amberson

Joshua James Amberson is a regular contributor to The Portland Mercury and Hobart. He has a wide variety of publications, including The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Columbia Journal Online, The Seattle Times, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Electric Literature, The Rumpus, and Tin House. Joshua teaches creative writing through Portland Community College’s Community Education program, serves on the editorial board of the Kithe literary journal, and co-hosts The Steer podcast. He is a graduate of Portland State University’s MFA writing program, and publishes the zines Basic Paper Airplane and The Prince Zine. His short book of personal essays, Everyday Mythologies, was released by Two Plum Press in 2018. He is currently working on an essay collection about eyeballs.
